Parks
Roane County is fortunate to be located just next to the Cumberland Plateau on the west side of Knoxville. Within an easy drive to the Smokey Mountains National Park and several state parks, Roane County makes an excellent base to visit several locations from. The Roane County park is located on Watts Bar Lake and features a 1.5 mile paved walking trail, tennis courts, covered picnic shelters and numerous playgrounds. It is a favored location for fishing, picnicking and many family reunions. Numerous other parks with differing amenities are available and listed below.
